About Kayden Connect
Kayden Connect is the post-Workplace internal communications platform — a Wyoming LLC, solo-founder for V1, building toward GA on 2026-07-15. We're hiring our founding team in the months after launch.
About the role
We'll hire this role within 90 days of GA on 2026-07-15. Register interest now and you'll be the first conversation. You'll be employee #1 on the engineering team. Expect to own large parts of the stack — from Next.js + Firebase Data Connect to PostgreSQL schema work, AI-powered features, and the multi-tenant architecture that runs Kayden Engage. Comfortable shipping in production from day one and pairing with the founder on roadmap calls.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of Engage features alongside the founder
- Push the multi-tenant Firebase Data Connect schema as we scale beyond Spark plan customers
- Build and maintain the AI features (post polish, sentiment, summarisation)
- Partner directly with founding customers on bug reports and feature requests
- Set the engineering bar — testing standards, review process, what 'done' looks like
Requirements
- Production experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js App Router
- Comfort across the stack — backend, frontend, infra, light DBA
- You have shipped a multi-tenant SaaS feature end-to-end before
- You write tests by default and treat type-safety as a deliverable, not a chore
Nice to have
- Firebase Data Connect, Cloud Run, Eventarc, or comparable GCP experience
- You have been the first or second engineer at a startup before
- Background in internal-comms, HR-tech, or developer-tools products
Benefits
- Meaningful equity — this is a founding role, not a senior IC slot
- Remote-first, async-first — async is the default, meetings are the exception
- Direct line to the founder, the customers, and the roadmap
- Latest hardware and a learning budget once revenue justifies it
